Actually, for what you describe why not find a good used 2 ton truck ? Put a flat bed on it with no hoist so it is lower to the ground. You can buy pretty good smaller trucks fairly reasonably, and it will do a better job of pulling thanthe pickup. The 4D part might be a problem, but if you had a truck like this would you need the 4WD?
