The newer Fords are pretty quiet, and the new chevys are very quiet. I went with a friend(08 2500 GMC) to pick up a 4440 tractor last month and I was very impressed. GM has finally got things right with the 2008 duramax. Plenty of power, and it was so quiet going down the road. If they would put a solid axle up front, make the cab larger, and get rid the factory body lift, then they would have a great truck in my view.
