West Central MN | Aeration fans will definitely buckle bin roofs. I have seen several around this area that it has happened to. I bet it happened during freezing weather. What happens is the vents will ice up and the air has nowhere to go.
I NEVER run a aeration fan in freezing weather without either opening up the side manhole cover or at least unlatching it so that if the pressure builds up it will pop the manhole open and relieve the pressure.
I would say the bin renter owes your buddy a couple of new roofs. | |
