| Around the Garden City Kansas area the wheat is about 65% good to 35% poor to very poor. Won't know much until it breaks dormancy but alot of the smaller dryland wheat may be going backward. Seen a few fields completely blown out but that is the exception at this point. I would say conditions are slightly less than average for what we seen this time of year. However, south and west of here I think it goes down hill fast. I feel fortunate with the moisture I have recieved since the first of September - a whopping inch in about 4 precip events and that is the wet spot, a lot less every where else. If anyone is too wet, send some our way. | |
