Thanks for the replies, maybe we will just try it in on a couple acres this spring, just to see what happens. I agree seed is to expensive to waste with poor stands and spraying round up could be a challenge, although when they spray our 15" rows now, they seem to run over one row with each tire that you can still see in the fall.
