Subject: Offset Disc vs. Moldboard Plow

Schomberg, Ontario, Canada
I am an organic farmer, and am wondering the value of using an offset disc. I am reading articles saying that they work well, as they mix up the residue 3-6 inches below the surface, where it can decompose well as opposed to being 'matted' by the plow. I am also hearing that I should leave my redclover cover crop over winter, and disc it in the spring, before planting my corn, etc. Just wondering what others may think. Thanks.
