Mine in the front of my jeep were failing at 90,000 I wouldn't have known it, but found it when I regeared it. That being said after I regeared my rearend I still get a little silverish oil but IMO not enough to worry about. Jeep front ends also turn all the time if you are moving whether the t-case is locked in or not. IF its a TJ you can put lock outs on for the sum of around $900.
