Fletcher, OH | I don't really remember what this looks like but I vaugley remember seeing something like that in the NH literature. I have had great success getting stuck/ corroded parts apart by heating and quenching. In your case with the aluminum casting and steel shaft a large general heat for everything with a weed burner propane torch and then soak several buckets of water on it. Be very carefull with the aluminum casting because it goes from solid to mush and drip with very little appearance change. Try also when the aluminum it quite hot to switch to the acetaline torch and heat the steel shaft to dull cherry and then quench. Try this a few times and I will bet it slides apart with some blaster. LOL | |
