Subject: New corn chem. question......

north central Oklahoma
Well, new to me anyway. I've got some conventional going out this year, my rotation got all screwed up with the abandoned wheat and late planted corn last summer. Intend to go back to corn on this conventional corn ground and did not want to be lmited by the LL gene needed. Nature always messes with the best laid plans and I normally would have had NH3 down by now, but it ain't happnin' yet in this weather. Was in contact recently with DuPont rep and he suggested Require II (premix of Resolve and Clarity). If I put it down right behind planter and before NH3 app if it doesn't get down before planting, I will likely have weeds breakout in the disturbed area. He claims this is contact and residual, so could I not wait to sidedress NH3, then go over top with Require II, even if weeds have emerged. Has anyone had experince with this platform of chemicals? Price is very attractive, and if one can get emerged weeds with this, it will certainly keep glyphos in check to some degree.
