Subject: Not so good for the most part............

South Central Kansas
Plenty of moisture here in Sumner County, Kansas. Problem is, most of the early planted wheat has waaayyy too much volunteer and is way too thick. The later planted wheat is barely up and sparsely tillered. We are a long way from having a crop here and after what happened last year, no one is selling much wheat for July delivery.

Western Kansas has been very dry until lately but seems to have caught some snow or rain in most places. Trouble there is, a lot of the wheat isn't up or it came up and died. I know there are some good fields of wheat out there, but the majority of them aren't in very good condition.
