| The other way to look at it as weather has been a less of a factor. We had a significant drought in 2005 and quite a few acres made 135, but almost as many did 190 - it wasn't as bad as 1988, but not far off yet there were few of the disaster level yields. The big role genetics might be playing is bringing up the bottom - certainly helps the average. Certainly weather is the major player, but it's a little hard to think that we could still be planting xl100 with the same results as we have now.
