I don't see any reason not to use the generic.  You need to check the pounds of active ingredient in order to compare rates.

It sounds like you are having it applied and want them to use your product.  I maybe don't get around as much as some of the guys on here, but I think you're going to have a hard time getting that done.  Usually the custom applicators make most of their money on the chemicals.  You can see for yourself, $5.50 an acre has to cover the machine, fuel, operator, insurance, etc.  Not exactly a ton of profit there.
