35 miles south of Houston,TX | In 96 we planted corn on the tenth of Feb. We harvested it on June 21. Caught a 1 inch rain. Then we caught a wild hair and decided to plant beans on the same field. So on July 3 we planted beans on 60 acres just to try. Got a good stand for the next 60 days we got about 2.5 inches of rain. With our heat that is not enough. Only made about 15 bu. Another field that was not double cropped only did about 22bu. |
