Malheur County Oregon | In our dry climates I have never seen any issue with disease. We do a corn, wheat, onions, beans rotation all the time.
We shred, disk 2 maybe 3 times with a wishek disk and then moldbord plow to get stalks under enough that we can get things furrowed out good enough for rill irrigation the next year. I would think under the pivots and your sand one time with a disk ripper and maybe a shot with a disk and packer you would be good to go.
On wheat that follows a row crop we go with 80n and 40p in the fall and then 50-75n in the spring when we spray. Following corn or back to back wheat we bump the -N- 40-50 units in the fall.
We get more yeild drag on back to back wheat than anything
Corn and wheat yeilds are similar to what you have also. Corn gets tall enough that you cant see over it when combining
btw: We flew over you this am. Got bumped off our Boise to Las Vegas flight (actually voluntered to get bumped) so Southwest sent us to Spokane then to Vegas. | |
