Have you read about the work the Rodale Institute is doing with no-till row crops? Go to www.newfarm.org, and click on 'no-till+ in the right hand column. Very informative - they are doing some great work.

I heard Jeff Moyer, the Rodale Farm Manager, speak at the NOFA-NY Annual Conference a couple weeks ago. He told the whole story of how they happened upon the approach a few years ago, the changes they've made, and where they are at now. They have trials going on all over the country using their method, on corn, beans, and vegetables.

I've been following their progress for awhile, and we're are going to try a few acres of no-till corn and beans this year, if the weather cooperates.

PS RE: the organic soybean/weed discussion a couple weeks aga - I found the pictures I wanted to post of our soybeans, but the disc has been damaged and we're trying to see if repairs are possible.
