I have used a PDA with Farmworks for five years. GPS has varied from a $200 CF card to RTK. Most receivers will feed out a standard NEMA string. With my old Ipaq its nice to be able to turn the string down to 1hz, at 10hz it seams to bog the Ipaq down. May not be an issue with a newer faster PDA. I have done split planting with Farmworks but it takes a bit to get the data out. Record left and right varieties and heading. After harvest maps can be overlaid and I highlight 12 rows, get the yield, move over 12 rows repeat. Three or four side by side get you close to what the field is. Would be nice if they come with a split planter program.
