Pulaski, TN | I used a sickle mower conditioner until this year and went with a discbine. I have some neighbors that went from a conditioner to a disc mower and to the person didn't like the disc mower. Two things I was told: takes the hay longer to dry especially in the spring and the hay is easier to rake and bale after run through the rollers. If the discbine is still in good shape why not spend a little money on it and keep it. 150 acres a year is not a lot of use and it will last a long time. If you go with the discmower make sure you have a tedder. | |
