Raise one or two for freezer beef.

Wait till market gets some better,,,OR practice on a couple turns of hol. bulls,,,then gamble BIG time and raise baby hol. heifers,,,lots MORE potential to make something,,,usually does!! Couple tips for heifer raising,,,buy heifers that pass the pencil test,,,feed bovatec at optimum level and 90% of your troubles are gone,,,dont forget to have pneumonia meds ON HAND and always a box or two of arm and hammer(brand makes no difference) 'baking soda'!!!

Raising calves can be a steep learning curve,,,if your putting them in an old barn,,,this is how its gonna go,,,first bunch goes great, some sickness but not bad and easy treat,,,next batch lost a few, must have been a fluke deal,,,get twice as many next group and make up for it!!,,,third group, complete train wreck most all die and sickness rampant,,,those that dont die should have,,,meds cost more than the calves!! You QUIT raising calves!!!
