Sorry for the delay.

That was part of my thought with the reciever mounting. I am on a Kinze 3600, with the reciever monted on the post that the planter turns on. The post is aprox 10' in the air, so we still had a fair amount of height. I liked the position accuracy that we had. (or seemed to have, I never really measured or tested it) I did not enjoy the cabling, as you mentioned. The other problem I had was I used the direct command to run shut off valves for the liquid starter. The Insight did not like the reciever behind the "booms". I had to put in a small positive number for the boom aft offset. Not a big deal, but did slightly affect fertilizer on/off. Ideally, the receiver placed ahead of the starter openers would be better.

With terraces, mounting the receiver on the planter may be best.
