I have no experience with XP but was observing convergence time versus convergence accuracy today in a RoGator 1286C running a Trimble Autopilot & EZ-Guide 500 system. I found that at a 24" convergence accuracy level, the HP would lock on in approximately 10 minutes. The 12" convergence accuracy level never seemed to produce a repeatable convergence time, which is what the machine operator has also observed. Sometimes the HP would lock on in approximately 15 minutes and other times it would take 25 to 30. Using the Fast Restart has not been an option because the machine is parked inside at night.

I can't wait for ASABE Standards Projects X587 (Assessment and Reporting of GPS Receiver Dynamic Accuracy) and X605 (GPS Based Auto-Guidance Systems Testing) so that some standardized quantification can be given to discussions like this.
