edgerton ks. | Anybody else out there got any thoughts on where these grain prices are going to take animal agriculture? Thinking of selling some sows. Called buyer today and seems they are hauling in sows faster than they can cut their heads off! I have had hogs for 30 years and dont remember low prices ever being this painful. Between lp to heat the barns, 350 ton bean meal, an 4 almost 5$ corn one would expect an almost record breaking depopulation of inventory, but who knows. It will be interesting to see how all of animal agriculture reacts. Any thoughts? | |
