| Sounds unreal Ed. Like the cattle on feed report last week. 112 % more placements than a year ago. Lot's of light wt calves entering the feedlots. Doesn't make a bit of sense with the price of all grains. And the price of DDG's is up too. I hear that calves aren't going on wheat pasture this year. I just wonder how much of the increase is hfrs that were intended for the breeding herd and are now headed for the feedlot. Could that be the case in hogs as well? | |
