East Central, Nebraska | I am located in east central NE. I kind of always thought that if it is available to the cow they will use it if they need it, i am talking about the tubs. It seems when they go off of them for a couple of weeks and then back to them they use alot. That in turn seems to cost me more because even though they weren't on the bag mineral or the tubs for a while when i set them back out they are gone in a few days when normally they might take them a few weeks.
Also about what you said about the getting too fat, maybe that is part of my problem. It seems that no matter what i do i can't make them look like the neighbors cows and maybe that is because these are alot older. Maybe they are getting along just fine out there but i think because of the way they look they aren't doing well. Who knows. | |
