IN | I have it narrowed down to three. Loyal Poly calf warmer by Roth Mfg., a poly calf warmer made by Koehn Marketing, and the Easy Way 110 Calf warmer sold by Western Ranch Supply. The last one is intriguing as it uses a different design, might be easier to get a calf in and out of. It is more expensive I believe and the shipping will be ferocious.
Are they a good investment? Anyone with experience? As always, I'm shooting for 100% this year. (Actually achieved it 2 winters ago)
I've been using a small metal horse tank bedded w/ straw and a heat lamp suspended overhead in a room in the barn heated to 45 degrees or so. A really weak calf needs to be carried in and lifted in and out. Their belly never really gets dry.
