I found the EZG+ a huge improvement over the old SL - enough so that I didn't even bother to install the ez steer stuff or T2 (the sl was that bad for me). What about the 500 makes it so much better in your opinion? Will it still work with the ez steer and t2? (short answer is ok, I realize this could be long and has likely already been hashed over 10x).
