I have a similar setup, but was able to skip the second battery by replacing the stock one with a 750 amp unit. The GPS doesn't 'flicker' now. I insisted on an automatic as well. Added a set of 'rough service' oilfield tires (to combat sunflower stalks) this year, and I have a hell of a setup.
