| I drove my JD 8330 around my fields to get field map coords. With duals its 5'9" from the center of tongue to outside edge of tires. I set the offset to 5.75' and right side and then drove with the right side of tractor next to ditches, etc.
After spending a day and 1/2 covering all fields and setting the A-B lines for autotrack, I took the card and used Apex to download the map images to match the fields.
Every field has map lines that are way off from the image lines with some being dead on. Some of these lines that are off are next to roads that haven't been changed in over 100years. I tried to use the aerial image correction but either I'm not doing it correctly or I'm expecting too much from it.
Shouldn't my images/maps align almost perfectly if there hasn't been any field variation over the last 20+ years ? | |
