| Jim,
A couple of corrections here:my 6095 was BT RR not conventional,I did not say my super 93 was one of my best(infact it was no great shakes either but it didn't go down) the variety that looks the best on a trial basis was Bayside 5072 RR,as to "not every hybrid will work under all conditions" I would point out that even the cheapest hybrids will work under optimum conditions.I pay more for my seed because I expect genetics that will work under tough conditions. If a variety has a flaw then charge less or at least let the growers know about the possibility of this happening.I don't think any seed companies are out to take advantage of the growers(Bayside included) but when you sell a product that has problems be willing to stand behind it and help the farmer by sharing in his losses.
