Subject: Rents Going up and up and up...........

west Tennessee
420 acre tract today........ sealed bids.....bottomland...... NON Irrigated...
drainage is fair at best
Ph is good
fertility is low to moderate
700 lb fsa direct payment cotton yield.
about a 40 dollar per acre direct payment
Previously was the highest rent in the State at 187.00 per acre
six year lease

high bidder today paid $ 227 . 00 cash in advance

the bidder intends to raise corn

I know its not high as compared to corn land in the corn belt, but this is in a county with a 110 bushel average yield.. this farm could average 150 bpa......

just my rent update, curious as to your thoughts........... Dave
