I have a fairly decent understanding of price elasticity/inelasticity and quantity demanded vs demand and quantity supplied vs supply. I got all that in AgEcon 20 years ago. What I am talking about is how some, not all, but some retailers in areas where there no or little alternatives are indeed putting the screws to the guy buying the fert or fuel. Greed seems to feed on itself in these instances.

Certainly don't want to provoke a disagreement but that is what is happening in our area, as we have few retailers close. Yes I have hopper bins and fuel tanks, which is what it is coming to, bypassing the local and going to the cheaper buy farther away, that is the end result I suppose.
