Rivers, MB
Headline all the way. We have done extensive fungicide trials on our farm in wheat (Southern Manitoba) and have found that Headline at flag leaf is the best fungicide out there right now. We have been told to not use any "strobi" at heading because of the risk of increasing DON levels as other posters have mentioned. This year we had a 16 bu/ac yield increase over check with a 3/4 rate of Headline. We have had numerous years of high disease pressure at flag leaf time and we felt we could not wait till heading to try and protect against scab/fusarium.
