Calgary, AB | 2.5 and 5 acre grids are most common. usually average in the grid sampling, not grid center point only.
I believe this spaces the center points around 450 feet apart for a 5 acre grid, not sure about the spacing on 2.5 acre though.
maps really change appearance depening on the settings, distance searched, distance ratio, cell size, etc.
I don't have enough experience to know the most accurate method. any guidance is great.
