Subject: Mike, I had an Uncle that farmed in Kansas..

Crawford County, Robinson, Illinois

In fact, my Uncle lived 30 miles from Plowboy.  Dad was amazed in the 1950's when he first visited Uncle Delbert during wheat harvest.  The truck and wagon were in town being unloaded, and Uncle Delbert just spread out a tarp and dumped wheat on the ground.  Dad asked about that, as he knew how fast wheat drew moisture at home if left overnight.  When they scooped up the wheat the next morning, it was as dry as it was the night before.  I remember him telling that story over and over when he got back home.

Things are just different in Kansas compared to Illinois.
