That is something I would never have thought of trying here in SE Illinois.  We have so much trouble with milo picking up moisture we plant an early variety just to get it out before we start cutting soybeans.  Typically (this year would have been different) if we don't get milo out before late September we have to wait on a frost.  But storing it on the ground?  Never, ever seen that around here.
