If the seed is all brown you better get hot. One hard rain and you will lose it all. We start when most of the grain is brown and about 10 to 20 percent slightly green. it goes through the combine easy. Once you put in the bin and supply a little air it will all turn brown. Green plants won't bother you it thrashes very easy. careful how much wind you put to it. Can blow out the back. I think it is to ripe to swath, will lose too much grain. Direct cut it
