What has been your trouble with stand establishment? Is your soil fairly loose. We have found that canola likes to be seeded shallow (1/2") and into a firm seedbed. How much does your fall seeded canola grow in the fall before freezeup? In manitoba, we seed in spring and early frosts can be an issue so I'm curious how the canola handles the winter if has germinated in the fall.
