Okay, quick lesson. The gizzard is the muscle area surrounding the craw. The craw holds the food and grit and the gizzard exerts the force to grind it together. When cleaning birds, save the gizzard and through away the craw.

Better brush up on poultry, judging season is about to start again. Don't want all them youngins showing you up at contests.
