Northeast Louisiana | We cut about 600 acres of soybeans every year for a farmer about 15 miles away. He keeps his stuff clean, plants them all in the same week with varieties that will mature at the same time, so we can get in there and get out. He will gramoxone if need be to keep us moving.
We charge him $25/acre + .07/bushel hauling (less than 10 miles), which seems to be pretty fair to both of us.
We generally charge $27-28 + haul for others, unless it's just a close friend or something.
