Actually we use SF2 on the strip till rigs and two of the planters (1-24 row and 1-12 row) and the 2nd twelve row planter is manually steered. Both types of planting have worked but of course SF2 is straighter and less stress on operator.
I must admit I have never spent anytime in the field with an RTK unit. If we had one maybe we would feel differently.
