Seems to be a reasonable price, depends on how far you have to deliver though.

I used to grow 5 acres for market, I would go to all the local supermarkets and get their watermelon/'lope cardboard bins. I would pay up to $5 apiece for them in good condition, many would give me them on the condition that I brought them back full of pumpkins( some just wanted them out of the way). In that situation it was easiest to sell by the bin and not by weight. I would weigh 10 or so and average them at $.10/lb then just multiply that by how many the bin held.
