Subject: Re: figuring soybean yield by pod count

Hoisington, KS
Went back out and pulled a couple plants from another part of the field where they are smaller and came up with 55-60 pods per plant and some of the pods at the top may have only 2 seeds. As a first timer I didn't get the drill set heavy enough and probably only put out 90,000 pop. and then had a hard 3.5" rain the next day. They've filled in nicely and hopefully can cut them in a month.
