Hoisington, KS | Was wondering what the accuracy is from counting the pods, and counting plants per acre if that really corresponds with actual yield. This is 1st year no-till dryland beans . I counted 160 pods/plant with 3 beans/pod with a final population of around 60,000. If I'm not mistaken this variety had 3750 seeds/pound. Figuring 60 lbs/bushel, I'm coming up with a yield of 128. I'm messing something up because that can't be right. | |
