It made a Crop | And I was only hoping for 5 bu more from headline.
I have found a few 50 pod plants. This was in 8" drilled @ 180,000 seeding rate. With most filling out a 3 Beans per pod.
So when I add up what BASF (headline) Orin (max-in) and Seed supplier tells me what their product will do. I should have 90 bu + beans this year. Seriously though, watching those beans start out. I wondered if they'd make 30. With the almost 5" of rain last week I 60 is possible. Look like each plant is putting/filling 4+ more pods with 2 beans each and the beans already on will fill out more weight too. So that rain probably added 5-15 bu. Maybe. As of this morning none of my beans have started to turn. Before the rain 40 bpa was my guess.
The last couple years I've had server al 3 pods only fill with 2 beans. Not seeing that this year. From what I understand cool wet July can cause that.
Looking at my corn and bean crop right now I'm glad a stayed on a 50/50 split.
We'll see what we end up with after the Combine rolls.
