South Central Kansas, Harper County | Cowboycorn - 8/24/2007
P.S. Our July planted corn is really appreciating the rain and cooler weather this week. Most July 20 planted corn is now waist high and looking dang good IMO. Double crop beans are history on this farm, I think DC corn has DC beans beat all to heck.
I was wondering how your corn is turning out? I almost planted some at that time, after hearing from you, but elected to plant some dc beans and dc sudan instead. The beans I planted down SE of Manchester,OK, and thankfully they have had a few showers on them, so they are not too bad! Sudan up across the border where I live, is doing well, and with the 1.25" of rain we had a few days ago, it will be better yet. I know some guys around Manchester that had some very good yields with their dryland corn, so hope your dc does well.
