Chesley, Ontario | It might help when the soys are under moderate moisture stress, since the water for the nodules all comes back down through the phloem (not directly from the roots), so they are at the far end of the line waiting for water. Of course, if the drought is severe, then the flowers don't set so other factors than N supply would limit yield.
Thanks for the update on the Mn strips. The combine will tell how much yield impact the early deficiency caused...I'm looking forward to the results! | |
