After combining the seed we could bale the straw and sell it. Usually sold better than good alfalfa hay because of the price.
That was when corn chucks would sell for 50¢ and alfalfa was slow to sell at 75¢/bale.
Everyone here and along the Brazos raised Hairy Peruvian back then.
