We're the same as you on our farm, Ed. Can't say its common here, though. Lot of neighbors are RUR corn, non-GMO specialty of some kind or another soy. Can't say that the reason thats the case fits every farm, but the driving thing I see is that many are following corn with Sugar Beets. No carry over concerns, and pretty clean fields to plant beets into.
The "bug" traits aren't real commonly used here, at least not like the "I" states. Corn borer is a seldom occurance, and continuous corn isn't the norm. On our corn after corn, I used 1250 Poncho for no other reason than to be able to access the whiskey market if I can.
