Subject: RE: PA Rain...

Greencastle, Pa.
2.1" rain in S/C Franklin Co Pa. Started raining about 2:30 PM Monday and is still rainging lighty now. Corn had NO EARS up untill after last weeks rain, now there are ears!!!!!!!!!!!!! small but ears. Have to love the teck corns, old corn ten/fifteen years ago would not do that. Alfalfa is growing like mad!!!!!!!! We took 3rd cutting two weeks ago and got five [5] loads off of 55 ac. the other 40 ac. we just clipped. Lot's of corn was in the process of being cut for silage here untill last week, that has all came to a halt as corn now is as green as grass!!!!!!!! what a "different" year it has been, just don't want a repeat of 1983!!!!!!!!!!!!!
