Would bet most of it is tech fees being passed down. Also was told there are three different "grades" of inbreds available to a seed company. The newest/best being the most expensive. I don't think most seed companies if trying to compete would use grade-B inbreds. Fielders Choice maybe but then again ASI owns them now. Monsanto has every company outside of Syngenta, Lima Grain, and Dupont boxed in.
