not to many people seed brome grass in large feilds around here anymore, but with waterways, a little trick that almost always works is after you seed it, shred any weeds or even the stubble. keeps it moist longer and keeps it from really washing. fertilize it heavy next spring or late fall, and i think you would have a nice stand. just my 2 cents though, and brome is a tricky seed some times.
